Parachilna is a hub for a growing number of moviemakers drawn to this beautiful landscape. In 2008, Bryan Brown was here filming Beautiful Kate. The highly acclaimed Rabbit Proof Fence was also filmed here. Angorichina Village 15 kilometres from Parachilna map reference C4, page 8 On the road between Parachilna and Blinman, Angorichina Village is nestled in rugged Parachilna Gorge. It provides a perfect spot to explore some of the best day walks and scenic wonders in the region. A small store provides take away alcohol, groceries, fuel and regional information. From here, continue on to Leigh Creek or travel on to historic Blinman following the 'Scenic Route' itinerary as found on page 56. Attractions Sharing the same name as the town Blinman, the two spring-fed Blinman Pools have been a popular picnic spot since the 1880s. The 12 kilometre return walk begins from the Angorichina Tourist Village general store. Also from the general store, hike to Wild Dog Gap or Mount Falkland. The 1200 kilometre long Heysen Trail also ends nearby. The original route for dray carts delivering copper to Parachilna, today the road to Glass Gorge is a tricky but picturesque 4WD track.
